The Role is…
A Permanent Full-time Community Living Counsellor - Coordinator position in Burnaby. Your experience in providing sound, consistent and caring support to adults with acquired brain injury coupled with your leadership and management skills will enable you to flourish in this role. You will enable two female and two male individuals to achieve greater success in certain areas of their lives such as providing them with skills and opportunities to participate in their community, take part in community activities, learn tasks of daily living and meet other unique support needs they may have. You will also manage an existing staff team of Community Living Counsellors.
You Are…
Well-organized; a leader who is able to co-operate directly with the Director of Residential Community Inclusion and who is able to maintain good relationships with supported individuals, networks, family members and team members. You role-model excellence in support and are an excellent communicator. The ability to take on the challenge of learning how to handle general administration in an accurate and timely manner, delegating as required, scheduling, timesheets, budgeting and financial accountabilities, reporting requirements, meetings, record keeping and maintenance of confidential files is required.
A Current Community Living Counsellor or Assistant Coordinator with CLS who has demonstrated your commitment to community inclusion is our preferred candidate. Experience working with individuals with acquired brain injury is also an asset.
