Why

  • Canada Savings Bonds (CSBs) are a safe, solid investment enjoyed by millions of Canadians.
  • Available as Compound Interest Bonds (where the interest is automatically reinvested so that your savings continue to grow until your bonds are redeemed or mature), CSBs: offer minimum guaranteed interest rates (which will be increased if market conditions warrant); are cashable anytime, so your money is never locked in; come fully guaranteed by the Government of Canada; and, have no fees of any kind.
  • Good alternative to save systematically with minimum risk (to save for "rainy day", upcoming vacation or big screen TV for Stanley Cup Playoffs vs. maxing out Credit cards, using RRSPs, Pay day Loans etc.).
  • Held on their own, or as part of a retirement plan, CSBs are a trusted investment that never falls in value. They are perfect for the secure part of any portfolio.
